Hebrew Word of the Day: סוכה (Sukkah). Definition: Temporary hut used during the Jewish festival of Sukkot. Example: בכל שנה אני מצפה לבנות סוכה. (Bechol shanah ani metsapeh livnot sukkah.) — Every year I look forward to building a sukkah. Note: The sukkah commemorates the booths the Israelites lived in during their desert wanderings after the Exodus.
